TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën gave out its Supplier Performance Award 2008 to 30 selected suppliers. Announcement of the best suppliers of the past year is to follow the last year’s Supplier Quality Award 2007. The special title was awarded to four selected companies - Denso, JTEKT, Toyoda Gosei Czech and Cadence Innovation.

„Last year was a year of records in TPCA. We have manufactured the millionth car and successfully switched to producing the facelifted models. A large portion of our success is thanks to our employees, as well as our contractors. With this award, we would like to thank you for your efforts,“ said the company’s president, Yasuhiro Takahashi, at the awarding ceremony.

Last year, the best suppliers were selected particularly with regard to their results in the area of quality. This year, satisfaction of the carmaker with smooth deliveries played an important role as well. „We wanted to cheer up our suppliers in the current hard times for the automotive industry,“ said Bernard Million-Rousseau, the company’s executive VP. „I believe that the crisis of today will help us improve our efficiency, maintaining our lead ahead the competitors. In this regard, quality of supplies and smooth logistics are key aspects of success,“ Million-Rousseau added.
