Such are the main points of the new collective agreement valid from 1 April 2009 until 31 March 2010, signed by the company’s management with representatives of the unions on 24 March.

Tariff salaries will rise by two percent. Employees working with the company for more than three years will also receive extra CZK 500 per month under the Z-account system of employee benefits. Increasing of Z-account is valid for more than 50 percent of employees.

„Main priority of TPCA as well as unions was to keep competitiveness and to develop long-term perspective in the Czech Republic. Even we haven’t been reducing production or number of employees fortunately, “ said the company’s president Yasuhiro Takahashi.

The collective negotiations also included the topic of expanding preventive medical care. The first projects are implemented already. For example, TPCA has expanded the medical care center for its employees and their family members, running inside the area of the hospital in Kolín since last year. The cost of opening the office exceeded CZK 1.5 million, while total annual cost of medical care in TPCA exceeds CZK 26 million.

„We aim at providing out employees with superior medical care and promoting prevention. After evaluating the first six months of operation of the general practitioner’s office and results of the employee survey, we have decided to open a dentist’s office as our next step,“ the company’s executive vice-president Bernard Million-Rousseau explained the reasons behind expanding medical care.
