President Takahashi leaving TPCA after 3.5 years

18.12.2009

Management of the Kolín-based carmaker TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën is about to change as of January 2010. Starting with the New Year, the joint venture of Toyota Motor Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroën will have a new president. The former president of the company, Mr. Yasuhiro Takahashi, returns to the parent company Toyota after more than three years.

Yasuhiro Takahashi has been working with Toyota Motor Corporation since he graduated. His jobs included various positions in administration. In 1990, he became vice-president of Toyota’s labour union. Since 2003, he has been exercising the office of general manager of the Human Resources and General Affairs department in Takaoka plant in Japan. Mr. Takahashi is married, has three sons and his hobbies include sports, travelling and classical music.

Mr. Takahashi joined TPCA to become the company’s president in June 2006. His objective concerned stabilization of human resources after reaching full production capacity in a record-breaking time. Mr. Takahashi returns to the parent company Toyota Motor Corporation. However, he will not lose TPCA from sight, as he will be in charge of Toyota’s European projects, including TPCA in Kolín.

The new president will take the office on 4 January 2010.
