TPCA launched production of its facelifts
On Saturday, November 29, TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën has successfully launched serial production of the facelifted models of Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1. The Saturday day C shift has manufactured 592 cars. The new cars emphasize environmentalism and have looks that are more dynamic. The facelifts also offer tens of technical improvements. These resulted, for example, in pushing fuel consumption of the most sold engine, the petrol 1.0 l, down to 4.5 liter / 100 km, along with CO2 emissions to 106 g / km.
Preparations for serial production of the innovated models started in TPCA last autumn already. It was necessary to change hundreds of parts in collaboration with the respective suppliers. For example, the exterior design changes also required new bumper forms to be created.
Test production of the altered cars started this January. Several tens of the new cars have left the production line during that time. The past weekend has thus put a successful end to the more than twelve-month project that involved tens of TPCA’s employees.
