TPCA granted 4 million to projects in the region
The car manufacturing plant TPCA in cooperation with the foundation Nadací Partnerství have concluded the fourth annual grant program Partnership for the Kolín region. Under this program, TPCA supports development of the region of Kolín with CZK 4,000,000 every year.
This year, the emphasis was put on safe traffic, support of education and free time activities, and protection of the environment. An independent commission selected 21 winning applicants from the total of 94 projects. Four projects will be subsidized in the area of safe traffic with CZK 800,000. The six projects focusing on protection of the environment will share CZK 951,000 in total. Eleven projects related to education and free time activities will obtain CZK 2,249,000.
„All applications we have received are inspiring to us. The projects show us the issues of the region that require a solution and help. We have been listening to such ideas through the program of Partnership for the Kolín region for four years already and we can feel that made us strike our strong roots in the region,“ says Yasuhiro Takahashi, TPCA’s president.
This year, TPCA will support, for example, construction of a pavement for safe pedestrian traffic, a cycling path, a playground in Celtic style, continuing restoration of the beet railway, saving a historical lime-tree alley, improved education at many schools, as well as several interesting environmental projects.
„Non-profit organizations and civic societies and associations often compete in grant programs. However, our aim is to support joint projects that will profit from cooperation of various entities, be it the non-profit sector, municipalities or business companies,“ Bernard Million-Rousseau, TPCA’s vice president, proposed the future opportunities.
