The cars Toyota Aygo and Peugeot 107 manufactured in the plant TPCA have won three prestigious awards. In a customer satisfaction survey carried out by JD Power and Associates, Toyota Aygo has reached for the first place in its category. Another car manufactured in the plant near Kolín, Peugeot 107, ended third. Aygo has won the category of city cars for the year 2008 with an overall score of 83.2 %; the third Peugeot 107 got 80.2 %.

The customer satisfaction survey was taken in the United Kingdom by more than 16,000 owners of cars registered during the period from September 2005 until August 2006, representing 100 different models from 28 car manufacturers.

Toyota’s SI engine, the 1.0 VVT-i installed in cars made in TPCA, scored as well. It has won the Engine of the Year 2008 competition in the category of up to 1.0 liter, for the second consecutive time. The jury appreciated the three-cylinder engine for smooth run, characteristics when idling, as well as its thorough design. The winner of the renowned International Engine of the Year Awards is chosen by a jury consisting of 65 renowned motor journalists from 32 countries of the world.
