TPCA has divided almost CZK 500, 000 for its employees’ projects

05.09.2007

Nine months ago, TPCA launched a new form of support for community projects in the region known as employee sponsoring. Company employees submit applications for the support of sports and social activities, especially in their place of residence. TPCA has divided 450,000 crowns among 28 successful applicants.
The highest financial sponsoring was received by the dragon boat sports team consisting of TPCA employees who have successfully represented TPCA in nationwide competitions. The company gave them 54,000 crowns to buy jerseys, boat hire and pay for entrance fees. The second most successful contender for sponsoring is a group of employees whose children attend the 2nd Elementary school in Kolín. Thanks to the project, the school was given 45,000 crowns for ceramic furnaces.

Sponsoring support for employees applies to sports and community projects. Employees can organize a sports tournament but it can also be a one-time support for a sports club or individuals. In the case of social and cultural projects, employees may apply for financial support for the operation of summer camps, day care centres, schools and kindergartens, as well as festivities and balls in the villages. The company shall divide 50, 000 crowns a month for selected projects, where the chance of getting a grant increases by the number of employees who shall actively get involved in the project.
The project developers usually offer their TPCA colleagues more favourable conditions. By this, for example, a winter indoor football tournament, a bowling tournament, darts, tennis and volleyball were organized. The most common applications for sponsorship include purchasing new jerseys, either for sports teams of employees themselves or their children.
