Partnership for the Kolín area 2007 – projects selected
A record-holding 22 projects shall receive support in the amount of CZK 4, 000, 725 from the TPCA’s Partnership for the Kolín area grant program, which the car manufacturer announces each year in co-operation with the Partnership Foundation. This year, for example, the financing for the construction of the last sections of the cycling routes Veltruby – Hradišťko shall be managed and the technical monuments of the Sugar Beet Railroad shall be reconstructed, or classrooms and materials created for teaching English to children with learning disabilities and mental retardation.
The committee composed of representatives from TPCA, regional governments and non-profit organizations were selected from a total of 90 projects sent. The largest number of applicants addressed the new category of "Support Education", in which 41 candidates registered for the funding. Other areas of support included the traditional make transportation safe, reclamation of public space and promoting the cultural heritage of the region.

TPCA has supported the development of the region with over 10 million crowns in the past three years. Emphasis is placed on projects that will enhance the region's cooperation and to implement larger projects even by use of EU funds. In 2006, the amount set for supporting the projects was CZK 4,000,000. The grant program remains open to the community and other non-profit organizations from the region.
The Partnership Foundation is the most important Czech foundation supporting sustainable developmental projects in all regions of theCzech Republic. Since its establishment in 1991, it has supported grants totaling more than 160 million crowns for 1,700 projects of non -profit organizations, schools, municipalities and individuals.
