After 5 years of disputes over the ownership of the domain www.tpca.cz, TPCA won.  The Prague Municipal Court ruled in its favour and confirmed that the former holder of the domain, purchased for speculative reasons, acted illegally and damaged the reputation of the company.
This is a classic example of cybersquatting, where possible attractive words are purchased and registered as internet domains with the purpose of selling them at a high profit to companies and trademark owners. This phenomenon is quite common worldwide. "I am pleased that TPCA ranked among those companies that have managed to win the domain in court, which is not common. I hope this is enough warning for all speculators who decided to ride on the reputation of companies, "said TPCA press agent Matěj Matolín.
The public can now visit the website www.tpca.cz that will run parallel to the current site www.tpca-cz.com.
E-mail addresses of all employees at TPCA will end with tpca-cz.com for now.
