TPCA appoints new president
Effective from July 1, 2005, TPCA changes its top management. Mr. Masatake Enomoto leaves the president position and his seat will be taken by the current vice-president for production, Mr. Satoshi Takae. Mr. Jean Pierre Chantossel stays at the position of Executive vice-president.
Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile, established in 2002 as a brand new car production plant has successfully passed the period of its implementation in the Czech Republic. This important stage symbolically ended by the official plant inauguration ceremony on May 31, 2005.
Masatake Enomoto, formerly a lawyer, was in 2001 appointed as the leader of the project of a small car developed by Toyota and PSA Peugeot Citroën. Later, he participated in the selection of the location for the new car plant and in negotiating conditions with the possible countries. His task was to establish good grounds for the new plant and to start its production. After successfully completing this task, Masatake Enomoto returns to his mother company, Toyota Motor Corporation.
The president’s position is taken over by Satoshi Takae, a graduated engineer, who spent his whole career at various production jobs in Toyota’s plants in Tsutsumi (Japan) and TMMK (USA). In his position of the vice-president of TPCA for production, he supervised the development and installation of production technology for the new plant and then the successful start of production. In the short run, his task is to reach the full production capacity scheduled at the beginning of the year 2006 and then to take TPCA to the top of European car production plants regarding quality and effectiveness.
