TPCA plant will be headed by a new president
Kolín, 2 January, 2013 – New President of Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile (TPCA) has been appointed. Commencing from 2 January, 2013, this position has been executed by Mr. Kenta Koide. He has replaced the present Company President, Mr. Satoshi Tachihara, who has returned to Toyota Motor Corporation headquarters in Japan after three years of work in Kolín. Mr. Kenta Koide is the fifth President leading the car plant producing the models Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107, and Citroën C1.
Mr. Kenta Koide started to work in Toyota Motor Corporation shortly after finishing his studies in 1983. He started his professional career in the Human Resources Department. At the beginning of 1990s, he moved to the division dealing with transfer of the latest development findings to a series car production. He participated namely in the establishment of a plant producing batteries for hybrid and electric cars manufactured by Toyota in cooperation with Panasonic. In 1999, he was appointed a Project Manager in the production plant Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey.
Mr. Koide has been connected to TPCA since the very beginning. Since 2002, he had been a member of the team preparing the common plant of TMC and PSA Peugeot Citroën built near Kolín in Central Bohemia. In 2005-2007, he held the position of the General Administrative Director in TPCA. At the end of 2007, Mr. Koide returned to Toyota Motor Corporation, where he worked in a Production Engineering Department and in the Honsha production plant as a General Manager.
Mr. Kenta Koide was born in July 1959 in Aichi prefecture in Japan. He is married and has two children. He graduated from Nagoya University, School of Economics. His main hobbies include historical studies, culture, and travelling. He likes skiing, jogging, and alpinism.
