TPCA’s Partnership for the Kolín region
In the eighth year of the grant program Partnership for the Kolín region, 15 projects were selected that will be supported by four million crowns by TPCA. The program aims to support projects developing the region in three key areas – the environment, safe transport and mutual coexistence. Since the start of the grant program in 2005, TPCA has distributed 32 million for the development of the region.
"Todaywe are celebratingthe eighthyear of the grantprogram. We began our supportof theregionimmediatelyafter arriving inKolínand we are continuing onbuilding arelationshipwith the place we call home. To buildtrust and agenuine partnership, " said the company’s presidentSatoshiTachihara while ceremoniallyhanding over of the checks inKolín."Today I want to especiallythankthe peoplewho care about what theirneighbourhoodlooks like.Peoplewho withtheir preparation and implementationof various projects are trying to promote and further develop the region.Without theirideas the grant program would never work. "
The TPCA’s president’s words were supported by the mayor of the city of Kolín, Vít Rakušan: “For the city of Kolín I can tell you that the motto Helping there, where is home is really being fulfilled in recent years. Without TPCA’s support we would not be able to implement the project called We’ll meet on the island whose aim is to change Kmochův island to a favourite destination for active relaxation of Kolín’s citizens.“
Kolín’s car manufacturer, TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile, respects the tradition of the region and significantly participates in its further development. This year it has dedicated more than 1.5 million to the environment. The amount covers seven projects, two more than in 2011. The second place in terms of financial support for projects is safe transport receiving over 1.3 million crowns. Here, there was an increase by one project compared to the previous year. At last, and equally important, mutual coexistence is sponsored in the amount exceeding 1.2 million.
From 2005 to 2012 more than 700 projects have been registered from which the TPCA’s Partnership for the Kolín region grant program has selected 145 projects.
