TPCA have finished collective bargaining
Kolin based car manufacturer Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech (TPCA) have made agreement with unions regarding the salary increase for this year. Tariffs increase by 1,4 percent from April. TPCA also release financial results today. Turnover decrease by 11 percent to 39,7 billion and profit by 73 percent to nearly 371 million.
New collective agreement provide together with salary increase by 1,4 percent also one shot bonus for all employees in amount of 2 000 koruna. Common priority of TPCA and unions was to do maximum for keeping of employment for surplus members. TPCA currently prepare time limited transfers to sister plants and negotiating conditions of transfers with suppliers. Also internal activities are prepared with the focus on quality and safety improvement and cost reduction.
Financial results were affected by production volume decrease. Compare to 295 712 produced cars in 2010 this year result 270 705 cars represent decrease by 8,5 percent. Turnover has declined from 44,710 billions in 2010 to 39,669 billions in 2011, by 11 percent. Lower turnover is connected with lower profit before the tax. Profit of 2010 in amount 1,386 billion fell by 73 percent to 370,552 million.

Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile (TPCA) is a joint venture between Toyota Motor Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroën incorporated in 2002 and located in the city of Kolin. Operations started in February 2005 and a year later the annual capacity of 300,000 cars was reached. Nearly 3,000 employees work nowadays in TPCA. TPCA belongs to the greatest exporters from the Czech Republic. The Kolín car factory makes the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1 models, the city cars characterized by reliability and low fuel consumption. TPCA applies the most environment friendly available technologies as confirmed by the BAT (Best Available Techniques) certification awarded to the site together with the international Environmental Management Certificate EN ISO 14001:2004. TPCA has already dedicated over 85 million Czech crowns to development of the Kolín region.
