TPCA announce 8th year of grant programm
Kolín-based carmaker Toyota Peugeot Citroën (TPCA) announced the eighth annual TPCA Partnership for Kolín Region grant programme today. The programme aims at supporting projects that develop the region in three defined domains – environment, safe traffic and living together. Much alike in the years before, the car manufacturer will award four million korunas in total.
„Despite the current challenging situation our company finds itself in, we relentlessly pursue our long-term commitment to support development of the region. Our grant programme is aimed at contributing to projects that are important for the region in the long run. We prefer projects with big benefits for the environment,“ says Satoshi Tachihara, President of the company.
Since launched in 2005, TPCA received over 600 applications under its grant programme. The plant supported 130 projects with a total sum of CZK 28 million.

Applicants have an opportunity to consult their project plans and applications with the programme’s administrator, civic association Prostor. Representatives of non-profit organizations will obtain tips for turning their ideas into a successful application at a seminar to be held on Thursday, 5 April at 13 o’clock on TPCA’s premises. Prospective applicants can register by sending an e-mail to ppk@partnerstviprokolinsko.cz by Friday, 30 March 2012.
The closing date to submit applications is Friday, 4 May. Winning projects will be announced at a ceremony to be held in late June. Similarly to last year’s programme, people will have an opportunity to support their preferred project by sending their vote online. Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile (TPCA) is a joint venture of Toyota Motor Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroën, built in 2002 in the industrial zone of Kolín - Ovčáry. TPCA Partnership for Kolín Region has been launched in 2005 in an effort to contribute to development of the region of Kolín on a systematic basis. The programme aims at promoting sustainable development of the Kolín region, its balanced economic, social and environmental features, and increased involvement of citizens in municipal life. 130 projects focused on the three principal priorities – environment, safe traffic and living together – received support over the time of existence of the programme.
