Last year TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën produced 270 705 Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1 models. In comparison with 2010, it was 8.5 percent less. The production results were influenced by the decline in small car sales in key markets of Western Europe. In contrast, last year, sales in the Czech Republic rose 7 percent to a total of 909 cars. TPCA’s best-selling model on the domestic market was the Peugeot 107. The largest sales growth was seen in Toyota Aygo, whose sales in the Czech Republic increased by 128 percent. The economic results of the company will be published in March.

 

"This year we will be affected by the continuous uncertain outlook for the European economy and distrust in markets, which is reflected in the forecasts for the automotive industry. Competition in the small car segment will be stricter," says company president Satoshi Tachihara. "This year we are coming up with innovative models that due to their reduction of emissions below 100 g CO2 per km have surpassed the magical limit and have gained a significant competitive advantage," says Satoshi Tachihara.TPCA’s main markets are the same as in previous years, France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain and the Netherlands.
