TPCA shall increase the tariff wages by 2,8 %
Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech management signed a new collective agreement with representatives of the trade union. Its validity covers the period from April 1st, 2011 to March 31st, 2012. They will ensure an increase in tariff wages by 2.8 percent and the payment of special bonuses in the amount of CZK 1,200 for Kolín’s employees. For blue-collar workers, the wage increase will total 3.16 percent. The average wage of workers in production shall increase to 28,600 crowns.
The collective agreement also includes a commitment to not release any TPCA employee in production for redundancy. The company’s commitment is valid for the duration of this collective agreement, which will be valid until the end of March of next year.
Last year, TPCA produced 295,712 cars of Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1. In comparison with 2009, it was down by 11 percent, but as part of segment A (small cars) the TPCA models managed to increase the market share on the European market by 21 percent. The company's revenues declined by 14 percent to 44.7 billion in the annual comparison.
