TPCA increase revenue and average salary
Today, Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech announced the company’s non-audited economic results of the year 2009. Revenue amounted to CZK 51.821 billion, while profit before taxation reached CZK 1.443 billion. TPCA thus generated similar profits as the year before. The company’s revenue is 5.8 percent up compared to the 49 billion koruna of the year 2008 when strong Czech Koruna declined revenue by 4 percent.
The total average monthly pay for the last year amounted to 30,800 koruna, or 26,800 koruna in direct jobs. Tariff salary increased by 2 percent. Total average monthly pay increased thanks to higher company bonus paid based on the company results and extra shifts payment rose by 5,7 percent compared to 2008. The number of employees saw a mild growth over the year, stopping at nearly 3,600 members of staff.
„Although the automotive industry, including our mother companies, was severely struck by the economic crisis, our sales remained stable,“ said TPCA’s President Satoshi Tachihara. In 2009, TPCA manufactured 332,489 Toyota Aygos, Peugeot 107s and Citroën C1s, which is a volume 2.5 percent up in annual comparison. The carmaker was thus able to increase its annual volume of production for the fourth consecutive time. ”Prediction for this year result is very hard. Results could be nice but we have to take it into account of the possibility that this year volume will be lower than last year,“ said president.
