TPCA celebrate 5 years from start of production
On Sunday, 28 February 2010, the Kolín-based carmaker TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën will celebrate five years of production. To commemorate the past five years, TPCA will organize an exhibition. The exhibition will be held in Červinkovský dům, Regional Museum of Kolín and will offer the visitors an opportunity to see the company, currently the biggest employer of the region, from a different angle.„Over the recent years, the region of Kolín has been through a rapid development and TPCA has played an important role in this. This exhibition portraits the plant over the last 5 years,“ says Production Vice President and one of the first employees of the plant, Jiří Černý.
The parent companies Toyota Motor Corporation and PSA Peugeot Citroën consider the joint venture a great success.
„Our cars – the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1 attain very good sales results. It is evident that our focus on the production of small compact cars with low consumption and emissions perfectly matches today’s demand on the European market“, summed up TPCA’s success the plant’s President Satoshi Tachihara.
„Over the past 5 years of production, we have delivered more than 1.4 million cars to our customers. Our 3.6 thousand members of staff contributed to this achievement and I would like to use this opportunity to thank all of them as well as to express my thanks to the regional representatives and citizens for their support,“ added Executive Vice President Bernard Million-Rousseau.
The exhibition about the history, present and future of TPCA will be open until Sunday 14 March, Tuesday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Saturday and Sundays, Červinkovský dům in Brandlova Street, Kolín is open from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
