TPCA Toyota Peugeot Citroën placed second in the Company of the Year in 2008, organized by the Association of the Automotive Industry. Criteria for evaluating the awards are financial results, sales and added value per worker. The awards ceremony took place at the Motor Showin Brno. The awarded companies received glass sculptures by the glass master Lukáš Šulc from Železný Brod.

First place went to the IVECO Czech Republic Company and Benteler CR finished in third place. Among the top five in the overall assessment were companies like ARVINMERITOR LVS LIBEREC and Toyota Tsusho Europe.

The criteria of the competition provide the most objective comparison of results to companies of different nature, different sizes and at different times of business activities and correct any unusual fluctuations in the parameters.

The following evaluation criteria were used:

1.  profit before taxes (mil. CZK)

2.  added value per worker in 2008 (mil. CZK/ worker)

3.         a) annual variation of sales of own products and services (%)

            b) sales of own products and services (mil CZK)
