Our mission is to continually reduce the amount of water needed to produce one car. We also try to keep the water that leaves the factory to burden the environment, but rather, to find further use for it. The dewatered sludge is incorporated into building materials for example. Having our own wastewater treatment plant contributes to our reputation as a Green Factory. Rainwater is gathered by our secured emergency rainwater drainage into a retention tank, waste water from the kitchens before being discharged is passed through a grease-trap.

We are decreasing the quantity of substances discharged into the air by using modern technology, in which we essentially use paints, varnishes and other products with a minimum concentration of undesirable substances. We only use water-based paints for cataphoresis in the paint shop (ecological way of painting). For technological processes where the use of organic solvents is still necessary, we have introduced an ingenious system of recycling for them at TPCA.

No direct landfilling. This is the main principle and objective in the area of waste management. A prerequisite for this is the correct sorting of waste, which is commonplace at TPCA today. This is the only way to ensure the continued use of the waste that result from manufacturing activities at TPCA. The most commonly recycled material is scrap metal from which steelworks produce steel but also plastic, from which new plastic products arise.

Operation at TPCA belongs to one of the most economical in terms of consumption of electricity, gas and water within the EU. No solid fuel is burned here. For a maximum reduction in energy consumption, we use the latest technology. ESCO teams also play a significant role. These specialized groups of maintenance workers are engaged in projects that result in significant energy savings. All these go beyond their working agenda, with zero investment costs.
